For the Stir-fry:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced thinly (green or red)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (for seasoning)

For the Sizzling Plate:

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for sizzling plate)
  • 1-2 sprigs green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy saucecornstarchrice vinegar (if using), black pepper, and sesame oil (optional). Toss everything well to coat the beef, and let it marinate for 15-30 minutes at room temperature.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  1. To serve sizzling-style, heat a sizzling plate (or a cast-iron skillet) on the stove until very hot. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil on the plate to prevent sticking and create the sizzling effect.
