Recipe: Cheesy Meat Roll-Ups
Introduction: These cheesy meat roll-ups are a delicious, savory dish featuring ground beef and melted cheese wrapped in soft dough. They’re perfect for a cozy dinner or as a fun appetizer for your next gathering.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough (store-bought)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the onions, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into rectangles or squares large enough to hold the meat mixture.
- Spoon the cooked meat mixture onto each rectangle, then sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Roll up the pastry tightly to form rolls, sealing the edges to prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with a little olive oil or egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Enjoy your cheesy meat roll-ups hot and fresh from the oven!
