Recipe: Cheesy Meat Roll-Ups

Introduction: These cheesy meat roll-ups are a delicious, savory dish featuring ground beef and melted cheese wrapped in soft dough. They’re perfect for a cozy dinner or as a fun appetizer for your next gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 sheet puff pastry dough (store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the onions, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into rectangles or squares large enough to hold the meat mixture.
  4. Spoon the cooked meat mixture onto each rectangle, then sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  5. Roll up the pastry tightly to form rolls, sealing the edges to prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with a little olive oil or egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
